The Office of Assemblymember Avila Farias is honored to recognize and uphold June as Pride Month and celebrate members of the community, this month and every month! We recognize that LGBTQIA+ members of our community face continuous challenges, and as such, hope to provide resources and access to them as venues of support.
Pride is a culmination of our district’s deep-rooted activism and resilience and brings our community together in celebration. Events like “Pride in the Plaza” in Concord and a plethora of others local to our communities bring small businesses, community members, performances, and resources together. Pride in the Bay Area and Contra Costa has been a landmark cornerstone of LGBTQIA+ advocacy and continues to center visibility and inclusivity through determination and celebration.
